Four years ago a band of campaigners adopted a constitution that enabled us to become a part of the national European Movement organisation. Since then, things have changed and we now need to accept some truths;
- The current UK government has chosen a nationalistic divergence from European standards and values
- We have different strengths and talents
- We need to build towards a positive role for the UK in Europe, and link that to the global and local challenges that face us, here in Nottinghamshire
Our old constitution did not really reflect what Notts4Europe is about and how that relates to the European Movement UK, and it didn't describe our needs in order to be effective.
A vote was taken and the new constitution was unanimously passed and is now in use.
